The management of rare gestational liver diseases, such as HELLP syndrome or acute fatty liver of pregnancy (AFLP), can be challenging. Many questions emerge during pregnancy in patients with pre-existing liver diseases. What to do in case of pregnancy in women with cirrhosis and portal hypertension or a previous liver transplant? Can someone with an underlying liver disease start an IVF course?
We have the honour to welcome international and national experts at the third Ghent Liver Day, who will update us on the treatment of liver diseases during pregnancy.
