Personal contribution for a day admission
In case of a day admission, a lump sum is invoiced directly to your health insurance fund or insurer. Therefore, if your health insurance is in order, you do not pay a personal contribution for accommodation costs.
Personal contribution for admission with overnight stay
For your stay and care in hospital, you pay a personal contribution per day, as laid down by law. How much you pay depends on your insurability and the duration of your admission.

Full cost of stay
If your health insurance is not in order, you will have to pay the full cost of your stay. This amounts to per day of admission:
- 1060,10 euros in an acute care ward
- 1954,88 euros in the Burns centre
- 757,29 euros in the Palliative care nursing ward
- 421,25 euros in the Rehabilitation and Geriatrics nursing ward
Room supplement for single rooms
If you opt for a single room, the hospital will charge you a room supplement of 80,15 euros per day.
You do not pay a room supplement:
- if you are admitted to a single room for medical reasons
- if you stay in a single room for organisational reasons, for example because no other room was available
- if you were admitted to an Intensive care unit or Emergency department
- if a child was admitted together with an accompanying parent
