At the UZ Gent
Deaf patients can book a Flemish Sign Language interpreter for a conversation with the doctor. The interpreter is free of charge and can also book appointments if necessary.
It is best to book the interpreter as soon as you book an appointment at UZ Gent. Please contact the Diversity and intercultural mediation services:

At a distance
The Flemish Sign Language interpreter also works remotely for other hospitals or general practitioners. A computer connection is then made with UZ Gent.
