Prof. dr. Guy Brusselle won de ERS COPD Research Award ter waarde van 50.000 euro voor zijn project 'Interrelationship of systemic inflammation, pulmonary inflammation, lymphoid neogenesis and airway remodelling in the pathogenesis of COPD'.

Prof. dr. Bart Lambrecht won de ERS Maurizio Vignola Award on innovation in Pneumology ter waarde van 20.000 euro voor zijn artikel 'House dust mite allergen induces asthma via Toll-like receptor 4 triggering of airway structural cells' dat gepubliceerd werd in Nature Medicine.
